Blackjack is one of the most popular table games in Casinos. This might be because Blackjack is so simple to learn and get into. Unlike complex games like poker, blackjack does not have any confusing combinations to remember.

The objective of a blackjack game is simple and quick. Highest number without exceeding 21 wins the game. A player would receive two cards in the initial dealing. After that, a player has to decide to "hit", "stand", "split" or "double" if one does not receive a "natural" or also known as a blackjack.

  • Hit - means to draw another card.
  • Stand - means to remain with your two initial cards.
  • Split - means to draw the cards into two different hands, thereby doubling the wager.(may only be done when the initial two cards are of equal value)
  • Double - Draw another card, and double the amount staked.
  • Blackjack - A player achieved a natural. what this means is that the player attained 21 in the initial dealing of the two cards. In order for this to occur, the player must have 1 ace + a card with a value of 10(picture cards like king, queen, jack or 10)
One may draw as many cards as one wish to get as close to 21, without going over. However, if one goes over. It is considered a "bust" whereby the player loses automatically.

That basically sums up how to play blackjack! Simple isn't it! Start practicing now and win big!

There are more advanced blackjack learning, and more strategies to get an edge over the banker. However, that is another article, for another day!
